Northwood Prep Eco-Programme

Eco-Home Page

Northwood Prep is part of the eco-schools programme.  The scheme aims to make schools become more environmentally friendly and have less of an impact on the local community.

 

We have recently been awarded the bronze award by eco-schools because we have a number of schemes running that help the environment. 

 

Last term, the Eco-Action Team undertook an Environmental Review of the school. From the results the children then made suggestions about what environmental issues needed to be improved.  These suggestions have been put into the schools ‘Short Term Action Plan.’  The Action Plan is made up of 5 main short term targets.  These targets are shown on the Eco-Targets page.  The targets have been announced to the whole school in assembly so that everyone is aware of them and everybody can work together towards them.
