Eco-Action Team

       An Eco-Action Team has been set up at school.  The team consists of two boys from years 3 to 8 who represent their year group.

 

       In order to be elected the pupils had to write a short e-mail or letter to Mrs Johnson explaining why they wanted to be part of the Eco- Action Team and represent their year group. Those boys who showed the most commitment towards environmental issues were chosen. 

 

       The Action Team meet on a fortnightly basis and discuss environmental issues to do with the school.  As well as helping initiate schemes and putting together assemblies they most importantly act as role models to their peers. 

 

       Last term, the Eco-Action Team undertook an Environmental Review of the school. From the results of the Environmental Review the children then made suggestions about what environmental issues needed to be improved.  These suggestions then went into the schools ‘Short Term Action Plan.’  The Action Plan is made up of 5 main short term targets.  These targets are shown on the Eco-Targets page.  The targets have been announced to the whole school in assembly so that everyone is aware of them and everybody can work together towards them. 

The Eco-Action Team is made up of the following members from Years 3 to 8:
